We witnessed the fashion scene leaning more towards comfortable, chic, and elevated sweatpants to address our quarantine needs.  I love the chrysalis for the spring season after being bundled up all winter and living in neutrals… perhaps I’ll blossom into something new!

One can say that fashion is taking a ‘seasons don’t matter’ approach. This is, of course, wonderful news for our wallets as well as our environment!

The Purity of White and the Grace of Pastels: One peek into the fashion world and even a novice can figure out that the calming hues of cream, ivory, whites, and pastel tones have been dominating this year. The desirability of this sorbet-inspired colour palette is due to its ability to cater to every skin tone out there while inspiring chirpy youthfulness, and that it visually represents a blank slate for the fashion set seeking a style shake-up. Dress up in delicate lavender wide-leg pants paired with innerwear in a fashionable mint-green, or tulle maxi dresses in soft and buttery hues to effortlessly enhance your overall aesthetic.

Fresh Florals: Keeping up with the spring vibes is what it’s all about this time of year, and nothing speaks spring better than nature-inspired breezy maxis or ruffled lace blouses or midi skirts with full volume. David Hockney, once said, “Don’t they know they can’t cancel spring?”, and that definitely has stuck with me. In my opinion, floral prints project a warm aura that helps you project a positive vibration while looking trendy. Think of this trend as your own spring garden full of blossoms that never wither!

Peek-a-Boo: It’s time to shed winter’s modest and dense layers to flaunt your skin in some peekaboo pieces. Wearing a full-length slip dress? Pair it with a sheer overlay. Or feel like a sex goddess in diaphanous underpinnings. Whatever the occasion, nothing can beat the dazzle of an unexpected bit of skin shown the right way. After all, a little sheer moment on a dramatic maxi dress may be just the statement piece spring calls for… So flaunt that skin and grab the limelight!

Head Scarves: History repeats itself, so does fashion. It’s time to make headscarves a thing again. For what could be better than this versatile accessory that both protects the hair and perfects your look?

Whether you tie a delicate silk scarf with intricate patterns under your chin to achieve instant elegance or under your chic ponytail for the wind to flirt with for that boho-chic look, headscarves are what they meant when they said, “there’s something for everyone.” Wrap it around your neck to elevate that simple tunic or use it to accessorise your bag to add a touch of colour, for headscarves are the way to go for all your fashion worries.

Pop Accessories: Add a dash of colour to your everyday style and make all heads turn your way. A yellow clutch or a patterned tote in eye-catching hues or a chic bucket hat in cotton candy pastel are all cases in point for the perfect pop accessory. Never again lament over repeating looks when you can mix and match your accessories to invent a whole new statement style of your own. Endless are the possibilities, so what are you waiting for?

To conclude: Nature has a lively sense of fashion, and spring is when it comes out. What better time to liven up your wardrobe with some vibrant hues and sleek accessories than now, when the cold and dearth of winter is replaced by new life and colours? I hope you enjoyed these amazing ways to add the touch of spring to your everyday wardrobe!

The prettiness never ends! I’d love to have you share your thoughts in the comments below!
