The Hottest Pre-Fall 2016 Trends
Peek-a-boo Black Pieces
Essentially flaunting everything under that translucence, black is featured in virtually every collection this season; with lace aspects, cut-outs, spider web details, sheer panelling, and numerous more subtle elements that give us quite a peek at the body beneath. It really is sexy and playful, and certainly the furthest thing from boring!

Bared Shoulders
One of the hottest Pre-Fall/Winter 2016-2017 trends is shoulder cut-outs, as seen in the pre-collection shows. This shoulder-baring silhouette is either slashed to reveal just a peek off-shoulder, has straps with an off-the-shoulder look, or strapless to expose full shoulders. Having the perfect neckline with just the right amount of skin visible is not only unmistakably sexy but also an art unto itself!

Leather Continues to Rule the Runway
Leather has been a huge trend for a while now and appears to be going strong. We do see it appear frequently enough as a jacket, whilst still taking into account the high waist miniskirts, gorgeous belts, and dress accents. Sexy certainly takes on new meaning for leather this season!

The Latin Fashion Influence
There is something more for the pre-fall season that is red hot and full of passion! What better way to celebrate the Latina in you than to wear Spanish inspired designs straight off the runway as we watch the fiery pixies take to the stage. We see black and red steaming up the place, layers of fringe falling over body-skimming fabric, and the beauty of the classic Victorian meets modern-day look.

Boxy Jackets
Jackets with boxy cuts have once again left their mark on the runways ~ they are really light layers though and essential to ensure both style and warmth. The jacket/blazer trend for the upcoming season takes on a boxier silhouette with ‘cropped cuts’ while keeping proportions sharp and sophisticated; roomy but with a beautiful fit for your body. Perfect to go with loose pants that are also an emerging trend this season.

This season seems to be gearing up for slip dressing, the new boxy, and luxe lace. 🙂 It’s always a pleasure to read your posts, Tanya.
I’m happy to hear this, Kanwal. Thank you!
Stunning post as always, Tanya! Pre-Fall finds designers obsessing over texture, embellishment, and sensuality. No doubt, soon we will be, too. 🙂
Thank you for resonating with this, Taraye.
The second picture is just [hysteric emoji]!! I can’t describe how amazed I am with this fresh take on lace and sequin! ❤️ In any case, I love reading your fashion posts – they transport me to a beautiful place!
Thanks so much, Sonali. Means a lot that you like it!
This is stunning ❤️ Printed blooms on lace dresses in gorgeous hues and sleek, solid-colored long-sleeved gowns ~ what’s not to love!!
Isn’t it?!
Just ❤️ everything about this! The season’s bevy of leather coats offer daring, dappled updates on a classic style!
Very well said!
Love the visuals, Tanya! I am now getting ready to embrace a new look with these new-season trends from the Pre-Fall 2016 collections! xx
Thank you so much for being present, Mahi!
In preparation for fashion month, getting acquainted with the pre-fall collection is a warm-up much needed for the boatload of looks we’ll be inundated with next season. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
My pleasure, Lovely. So glad you enjoyed the post!
Although these inter-season collections are presented on a smaller scale, they still preview the forthcoming trends for fall… Well, I now have an idea of the pieces to shop for and to stay on top of my fashion game! Thank you for sharing your insight.
You are welcome, Dimple! Thank you for reading my blog.
These sequined creations evoke the medieval city’s night sky! But what I am drawn to most are the cleaner, simpler silhouettes; like a sculptural LBD with a built-in jeweled bralette and a black slip dress printed with giant roses. 🙂
Thank you for that vision, Radha. 🙂
Wow! I need an iridescent sequined dress in a multicolored botanical print!! I relish the opportunity to dress up for a party and am not afraid to throw in a sparkly earring or shoe either. 🙂
Neither am I. 🙂
Clothes should be fun, fantastical, and unabashedly feminine ~ regardless of where the fashion winds are blowing. And yes, I’m all about detailed sleeves, iridescent sequins, and romantic florals! Thank you for sharing, babe! ❤️
Thank you for your valued appreciation, Pramila. Have a wonderful week!
Loving the special, statement-y touches, like crystal-trimming and sequined separates ~ for women who aren’t trying to be everything to everyone!!
Amen.
There’s something to be said for the elegant, architectural beauty of a sequinned evening dress! Alexander McQueen’s opulent sequin dress and Antonio Berardi’s remixed prairie dress are particularly mood-board worthy!
Definitely hear you on that one, Molly!
I’d wear that leather with attitudinal gloves and enormous sunglasses to channel the so-bad-it’s-good taste of a modern day Veruschka! Ha!
Go for it, Aditi!
