Order Delicious Food Online at Hunger Meals
It is interesting to note that of late it is not international cuisine that is in demand; instead, city-goers seem to be on the lookout for “home-cooked” style, simple and healthy food. From farmers’ markets to truckers’ food festivals to online services that provide freshly cooked meals is where most up-to-date trends and exciting food fusions are happening. Although personally, I prefer to order delicious food online.
I recently had a tete-a-tete with Rajesh Nair, the owner of ‘Hunger Meals’{the latest online “home-cooked” meal delivery service} about his new role, the challenges exclusive to working at a food start-up, and where he finds inspiration. Here is an inside look into his world ~
“I was living in HSR layout where there was a dearth of eat-outs that provided simple and delicious home-made food; that is when the idea for ‘Bhuk Mithao’ {my first venture} came about. I was interested to see the response for a simple meal from those who lived away from their home and did not have access to home-cooked food, as well as those who do not have the time to cook,” Rajesh expressed. “It was during this time that I met my two partners who shared the same dream as I, and that is how ‘Hunger Meals’ came into being.”
“When we conceptualised ‘Hunger Meals’, we wanted to embody the diversity in Bangalore city without being heavy-handed, and bring in a concept where the name of our dishes would invoke a feeling of nostalgia.” Rajesh continued, “Our kitchen staff have diverse cultural backgrounds, and we wanted to use this to its maximum potential and get everyone to be a part of the menu. We aimed to craft imaginative food using home-made spices, collectively bringing dishes and ingredients from different cultures to create a fresh cuisine. Along with being original, we wanted to ensure that our service would be efficient and affordable, to ensure that we reached out to as many people as possible.”
What is unique to Hunger Meals is that they own the entire supply chain; kitchen to delivery. And, I’m betting that owning every stage of the process from chopping ingredients to delivering a meal to your desk at work, means that Hunger Meals will be able to control the outcomes. So, take this opportunity and order delicious food online at hungermeals.com.
The Hunger Meals’ site is easy to navigate, allowing for a seamless ordering experience while offering up a nice selection of Ghar-ka-khana. I was offered a few dishes to sample, and found that the food itself was solid and rich with flavour; the salads were fresh, and the chicken dishes were excellent! Everything was still warm, but not quite steaming hot. I was also happy with the portion size of my inaugural meal.

To conclude: No matter how capable your cooks are or how savvy your technology is, a city like Bangalore, which is the IT capital of our country, faces its own set of challenges at lunchtime rush. Launching a venture that tries to make structured, efficient grace in that kind of bumper-to-bumper traffic, and hungry, harried-worker pandemonium certainly is no small order.

Every restaurant is unique. Every brand stands for something. In fact, the more unique your brand is, the more likely it is to attract people. On that note, I love the meals displayed here, and can’t wait to order! 🙂
