Abhishek Dutta presents Dark Side
Wear.Style Bangalore Fashion Week 15th Edition ~ Winter Festive Online 2016
Where Glamour and Panache take centre-stage!
At the dawn of a new horizon, a new civilisation was born out of the dead. Over the years; pollution, violence, and war have resulted in a decade of distress. Abhishek Dutta’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection symbolises the chaos through prints, textures, and surfaces. Stain and block prints tessellation, laser cuts, and hand embroidery form the various elements used for his collection. Cotton twill, linen, jacquard, and leather form the key fabrics, while fragmented hearts and tessellated skulls are the key motifs that further enhance his ensembles.

Abhishek Dutta’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection “DARK SIDE” epitomises modernity with quintessential grunge and rustic fused-in tinges to accentuate its aestheticism.
I love this designer’s collection! Dark and edgy!
As do I. 🙂
Very cool collection! In any case, Abhishek Dutta is known for his signature grunge and quirky looks and out-of-the-box experiments with clothes. xx
I agree!
Nice pure lines that have a distinct boldness! So different to what everyone else does… You look gorgeous, too.
Absolutely! 🙂 Thank you, Aishwariya!
These are stunning pictures! Keeping in line with his love for all things punk, the designer’s new collection has brilliant use of dark colours, with splashes of bright hues!
Just so you know, you are absolutely one of my favourite bloggers, Tanya! ❤️
Thank you for adding to my post so wonderfully, Saltanat.
Aww ~ that’s very kind of you. Thank you!
The Indian skin tone can pull off colours so beautifully… Such a classy collection! Thanks for the beautiful post and inspiration!
My pleasure, Krutika. So happy you enjoyed it!
I am really enjoying the simplicity of these pieces and the engaging colour scheme. I agree 100% that some designers just have way too much going on. Thank you for sharing these collections and stories with us from Bangalore Fashion Week, Tanya. ❤️
I’m so glad you resonate with this, Shailja.
Dutta has certainly played with a lot of interesting styles and cuts in his creations. Also, a lot of geometric patterns have been employed on colours of a gentle rose…
Thank you for adding to my post, Navneeta. Nice of you!
I love that the colour palette is more on the darker side; with heavy use of Indi-blue, shades of charcoals and greys and hints of blood red. Also, love the asymmetric openings and hem lines… xx
As do I.
Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark… Love the optimism in this collection! Thank you & love you for this share, Tanya!
My pleasure, Subadra. So glad you like it!
Tanya, you never fail to amaze us with your fashion appropriate words and photography! Btw, what is the name of this collection? I wish i could better understand the beautiful language that fashion is…
Thank you for your sweet words, Dnyaneshwari. It’s called “Dark Side”.
Such a lovely colour scheme, and I totally adore his menswear! Abhishek, in my opinion, designs for all occasions, weaving into his garments every single emotion that a human is made of. ❤️
Beautifully stated, Jhumjhum! Thank you for this perspective.
Absolutely gorgeous ❤️ I don’t where the designer gets his inspiration from, but it is translated with great care and efficacy. He has captured the true essence of “chaos through prints.”
Such a wonderful thing to say, Eeshita. Thank you!
When it comes to manifesting a new reality, our collective consciousness is the most powerful tool. If enough people work towards the same thought — with both intention and conviction — nothing is unachievable. ~ That’s my take on this stunning collection!
You’re the best, Namita ~ always such a compliment from you!
How intriguing and alluring are these creations… And, your photographer has really captured the spirit of this collection. ❤️ Love your ensemble and you look stunning, btw.
That’s kind of you, Divya. Thank you very much!
