A Sneak Peek Into H&M’s First Store in Bangalore
You can imagine my happiness when Swedish Multinational brand Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M), decided to launch in my city ~ Bangalore! If there’s anything I like more than the feeling of buying clothes, it’s the feeling of buying clothes that rank high on the quality and affordability scale! The H&M pre-launch event at our very own VR Bengaluru had all the attributes of a great launch, and to top that the collection on offer will undoubtedly excite any fashion lover!
Gracious hostess, Head of Public Relations H&M India, Dhatri Bhatt, made sure that everything was well organised, and the delightful hors d’oeuvre from bespoke caterers Smoke House Deli added to the fashion flavour! The Press Showroom Manager of H&M India, Keerti Kataria, the chicest professional fashionista I have met in recent times, gave me a detailed tour of H&M’s first store in Bangalore covering both the SS and AW collections.
Here are the three important reasons why H&M’s first store in Bangalore deserves a thumbs up!
1. World-class designs: H&M’s designs are at par with other well-known international brands, and are suited to the Indian audience not only in terms of offering the latest fashion trends but also in terms of affordability. H&M is clearly sending a message to its Indian customer base by presenting fashionable clothing without the expensive tag.
2. Extensive variety: For any brand to make its way into the hearts of its customer base, it needs to provide a gala selection of varieties. H&M Bangalore delivers perfectly on that front! With so many options to choose from, the store promises to be a delight to H&M fans, ensuring that there is enough to try on and to choose from.
3. Big bucks saved on international shipping: No matter how addictive and time-saving it might be, online shopping certainly cannot bring the same amount of pleasure that comes with going to a particular boutique and purchasing clothes. The enjoyment of trying clothes, feeling the fabric, checking yourself out in the mirror before buying, is something that serves well with us Indians, especially if we are buying branded clothing.
Welcome to Bangalore H&M!

H&M does this thing where they divide different styles into separate sections, so you might take a turn and end up surrounded by what looks like the closet of someone completely different than you. You imagine what life is like for the person who wears these clothes – could you be that person? Sure, you were just on your way to find leggings, but maybe you should buy this faux fur coat and completely reinvent yourself instead!
Thanks for sharing, Tanya! xx
Thank you for your fun comment, Nilam!
There’s something about the way the clothes are displayed at H&M; perhaps it’s the lighting, or perhaps it’s just seeing them in real life that makes them suddenly seem within grasp… because literally they are! Love this brand!! ❤️
I hear you, Shweta. 🙂
