Finding the perfect balance between our career, our family and ourselves is the most challenging job for women these days. Though we rarely find ourselves the privilege of sparing a full hour in the morning to get ready or a couple of extra hours over the weekend for our much-needed beauty requirements, i.e. relaxing massages, luxurious masks and scrubs, manis and pedis… we still want to be able to maintain a regular beauty routine because we deserve to look our best when we go out in the world. In this post, I am going to provide you with some amazing time-saving essential beauty hacks every busy woman must know. The Most Impactful Time-Saving Beauty Regimens

Time Crunching Mornings

When you are juggling between your morning activities where you have a precise timetable, one hardly has time for elaborate beauty routines as seen in any beauty tutorial on YouTube. And, it’s perfectly understandable that with so many attractive products out there, you want to try all that looks appealing to you. But I have a little suggestion for you ~ leave that activity for the weekend. For your day-to-day routine, I would like to introduce you to multipurpose all-in-one makeup sticks that can be found in most beauty stores. They can be used in place of different products for your lips, eyes, and cheeks; thereby eliminating the need for you to go through the hassle of using multiple products when the same result can be achieved using this single product! Bonus: you won’t even mess up your makeup with multipurpose makeup sticks as they are usually very sheer.

Organising a ‘Makeup Zone’

If you don’t want to waste time finding your mascara or foundation in the mornings, don’t pile all your makeup in one place. Organising a makeup zone will save you the everyday hassle of running from bathroom shelves to beauty bags to find the shade of lipstick you want to wear on that day. Here’s a tip: take some time out to separate your everyday products and organise them in the order that you use them. This will significantly reduce the time you usually take running around madly hunting for your products.

Skincare Products That Multitask

You can’t commit to a 5-step skincare routine if you are extremely busy. In this era of multitasking, missing your skincare routine just because you can’t commit to the multi-step process is unacceptable. Instead of getting lazy, you should get a multipurpose moisturiser that has SPF and can act as a primer at the same time. To nurture your skin while protecting it from the sun’s harmful UV rays, you can opt to use hydrating sunscreen gels. These gels also prepare your skin for flawless makeup application as their sheer consistency doesn’t leave behind residue. Most importantly, you should always remember to clean your makeup before going to bed by using an effective facial cleanser followed by a moisturiser to suit your skin type.

Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo being the fastest solution for oily roots is a life saviour for women with busy schedules, especially since I understand that sometimes washing and styling your hair becomes a little challenging taking into consideration the time crunch. At times like that, all you need is dry shampoo as it will clean your hair within seconds. Use it by spraying at least 8-9 inches away from your hair and evenly distributing it into your hair with a brush or by using your fingers. In case you sprayed more than what is recommended and you see splotches of powder, a blow dryer can be used while moving your fingers through your hair for an even application.

Semi-Permanent Beauty Techniques

Lash Extensions and Microblading, two of the many semi-permanent beauty techniques available, are powerful shortcuts to your beauty routine. If a little bit of extra work can bring about relief from everyday hassle, then it does sound like a fair deal {you could consider half of your work already done if you have your eyebrows and eyelashes on point}. And, wouldn’t it be simply awesome if you did not require mascara at all and instead used lash extensions that gave a more natural and enhanced look to your eyes? You could alternatively do a lash-lifting on your natural eyelashes in case your lashes are already long enough.

On the other hand, microblading, which is used for filling your brows, is a unique technique wherein a solution is provided for filling eyebrows semi-permanently with lasting results for up to three years.

Alternatives To The Above

I understand that you may be a little hesitant about using semi-permanent beauty procedures, but don’t worry, you can still save time in the morning by following my advice. To look instantly presentable, always keep your eyebrows in shape especially since nicely shaped brows will also be easier to fill. Use mascara with a precision wand to make your eyes look refreshed and awake as large lashes make your eyes look more prominent.

Effortless Curls

You can get beautiful beach waves in the morning effortlessly without going through the time-consuming act of using a curling iron. It just requires you to wash your hair the previous night and braid it while it’s still wet before you hit the bed. Make about 4-6 braids depending on how loose or tight you want your curls to be. Unbraid your hair in the morning and let those amazing waves fall free. Lastly, use hairspray to keep those curls in place.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Niacinamide; so I’ve been looking into affordable options to start incorporating Niacinamide into my skincare routine. Are you a fan of the ingredient?

    • Niacinamide supports the skin barrier (the outer surface of skin), increases its resiliency, and improves texture by making pores look smaller, Kiran. It’s safe to use every day (either in the morning or at night), but do check the packaging for specific instructions.
