MAANAY by Ashok Maanay presents SERENITY

Dedicated as a tribute to his beloved mother Smt. Sushila Devi R Maanay, this collection is inspired by the serenity and calmness Maanay’s mother brought to his life. The soothing, calming nature of colours in this collection is led by a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Like a serene sunset, flushed cheek, or budding flower, Serenity reminds us to reflect on our surroundings during the busy but light-hearted moments in our life.

It is interesting to note that Smt. Sushila Devi Maanay spent most of her childhood in the Kingdom of Baroda with her Highness Maharani Shantadevi, the grandmother of the present King, Samarjitsinh Ranjitsinh Gaekwad. She was considered as a daughter by the Maharani, and as a child, she played along with the three Princes and five Princess on the Jewel carpets of Baroda. This Royal upbringing added to her divine and pure sense of Fashion which has been an inspiration in all of Designer Ashok Maanay’s collections to date.
